Unkle Funkle |
| |
Charleston, SC based since 2005, Unkle Funkle is known as literally one of the “Funkiest-Rock groups in the Charleston area”. Their repertoire ranges anywhere from classic rock & Motown hits, to modern rock & Pop/ R&B. The band includes founder & drummer/ vocalist Vince Rivers, guitarist/ vocalist Chris Dodson, and Bassist Alex Kellner. The line-up also occasionally includes saxophonist Ian Sanchez. Simply put, this band plays music that “feels good.”

"Unkle Funkle is a gem! The guitarist provided music for our guests before the ceremony, and then he performed a beautiful rendition of Cannon in D for the wedding processional. It set the tone for our ceremony and made for an unforgettable evening on the Ashley River. Following the ceremony, the guitarist joined the rest of the Unkle Funkle Trio for our cocktail hour entertainment. They made my night! In fact, when my wedding planner came to tell me that it was time for dinner, I insisted on them playing a couple more songs first. "
-Holly (Bride June 2012)
"Now that the dust has settled, as the mother of the bride, what I realize is that no matter how much planning you do, if the band isn't good, you'll walk away not being able to say, "Everything was perfect." Unkle Funkle's musicians are the consummate professionals, unmatched for their ability to read the crowd and respond to their energy. They are electrifying! When planning a wedding, the arduous task is determining where you want to spend your money. If you are vacillating between a DJ and a band, choose the band. Eliminate the draped ceiling on the patio for $1000, or the take away gifts that everyone throws away and apply that money to a band that will etch a permanent memory into every guest that has celebrated with you. Because we had never had the pleasure to hear Unkle Funkle, we relied on the reviews that others had written, as well as the expertise of Trey Hanchey from Other Brothers Entertainment. Every word written or spoken is true....and more. Their talent is phenomenal, their passion for music is obvious and their spirit is contagious. Vince Rivers works carefully with you to assure that all your wishes come true. My wish for anyone reading this is that Unkle Funkle is part of your celebration too!"

"We had such a great time with them! Vince was so great to work with, personally called me to go over everything, and accommodated everything that I needed. They learned our wedding song so that they could play it, and even played a recorded version of my father/daughter song, per my father's request. They were great, I have received sooo many compliments on them! OtherBrother was wonderful to work with! Bryan was great, also personally called me, and sent me a list of bands that he felt fit all of the criteria that I wanted. He was very prompt, thorough, and made this all a great experience!"

"Jon & I just got back from our honeymoon & had an amazing time! We didn't
email, text, etc. while away, but I wanted to write you as soon as we got
back
to say a huge & heartfelt THANK YOU!!! I cannot even begin to express what
a
magical & unforgettable wedding celebration it was for us!"

"We wanted to say THANK YOU to you (Unkle Funkle) for putting on an amazing show during our reception. All throughout the evening and afterward our family and friends kept saying that you guys were the best, most fun wedding band they had ever seen - and we agree! Thanks also for being so accommodating and responsive leading up to the wedding as well - that really made a big difference in those last few stressful weeks of planning. We will definitely recommend you guys to other couples we know getting married"

"I just wanted to thank you and all of the members of Unkle Funkle for a wonderful performance at our wedding! We loved the music that you played and so did everyone else that attended! Thank you so much!"
